We have a growing archive of collective worship materials for primary schools. A few are linked to specific events such as the coronation of King Charles so you may need to adapt them slightly.
Since the COVID19 pandemic, and before then as part of the national ‘Thy Kingdom Come’ weeks, we have been creating collective worship materials with the aim of supporting our school leaders in this distinctive part of school life. The document below aims to gather the themes of the past few years into one place, which schools may find useful if planning a rolling programme of themes, or searching for archived resources. New themes will be added to as we continue to write materials.

Count Your Blessings: This series provides an opportunity to reflect on gratitude and the things that we can be grateful for in our lives. Search for 'Blessings'.
Stories to Help us Grow: This series explores the power of stories to help us understand deep truths, it starts with Jesus parables. Then in the second half of term takes a Bible teaching and uses a tradiational story from across the world to illustrate this teaching. Search for 'stories'.
Shine Like Stars: This series starts with events from the life of Daniel whose actions and how his actions stood out in the challenging times in which he lived. Search for ''shine"
Heroes of Hope: Stories of some radical people from history from a variety of races and cultures using materials from the inspiring book Heroes of Hope. Search for "Heroes"
Creativity: Threads Through the Cross - This series tells the salvation story from Jesus birth to resurrection using images from the exhibition (‘Threads Through the Cross’) that was hosted by Guildford Cathedral in 2025. Search for 'creativity'.
To Bodly Go.. - A series about great journeys and great adventurers, covering the globe as we consider some lessons we can learn from people who’ve ‘boldly gone’ (!) We also consider more spiritual journeys as we track stories about those who travelled carrying precious ideas to others, including the story of the beginning of the worldwide Church and the Apostle Paul who helped establish it, centred around the dates of Pentecost.
